News take: Most proposed maps better for Democrats than existing districts

Because the Legislature, U.S. Supreme Court, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court ensured that the existing maps ensured Republican dominance in the Legislature.

And they are not giving up.

The map proposed by Republicans "would produce 51 GOP-leaning districts in the Assembly, 32 Dem-leaning seats and 16 districts Republicans deemed competitive."
